Wireless Routers and Bridging

I'm going to ask this here to see if anyone with any experience might be able to give me some pointers. A while ago, I posted a thread about a slightly convoluted setup in my house that I was trying to provide internet access to. Some progress has been made, and I now have:

  • A Netgear D834PN Wireless router connected to the internet

  • A HomePlug kit (which works an absolute treat, it has to be said)

  • A D-Link DSL-G604T wireless router at the other end of the HomePlug kit

  • Everything linked up and working well, except...

I can't get the D-Link to pick up the Netgear's internet connection via the HomePlug kit. Everyone follow? Good...  Huh
Would anyone ever have set up anything like this before? Would you happen to know what settings I need to pull together on the D-Link to enable and activate the bridge mode (if bridge mode is even the right thing)? Would anyone possibly have seen instructions for this kind of set up that they could point me to?
All advice greatly appreciated - thanks for your time...

Re: Wireless Routers and Bridging

Probably teaching Grandmother to .... eggs, but what always catches me out is to turn off the firewall before setting up the network and then re-starting it after everything has bedded down.  Any help ?
