Hello,
I am experiencing a serious decrease in bandwidth.
I should and used to experience about 21 megabits per second, downloads were always hovering around the 2.1-2.9 MB/s in Steam (where I do most of my downloading)
Currently I am experiencing 3.1 megabits per second, downloads are now hovering around the 220 KB/s mark.
Standard checks have been performed, router rebooted, computer rebooted.

Hi Kyle93,
Are those results over Wireless or Ethernet?
If they're Wireless, can you let us know what speeds you are getting via Ethernet please?

Those are wireless speeds, ethernet speeds are 20MB which is great but there's something still wrong here with my gateway.
What kind of options do I have as a Plusnet customer when there are issues with my router?

We can look at the Wireless Configuration, such as the Wireless Channel, it might be worth changing that to see if that improves things, which router have you got?

Sounds good, I have the TG582n model.
It's done well until the last week or so
Interface Enabled:
Power Reduction Enabled:
Physical Address: 9c:97:26:0f:71:8a
Network Name (SSID):
Actual Speed [Mbps]: 6.5
Band: 2.4GHz
Channel Selection: Automatic
Region: Europe
Channel: 1
Allow multicast from Broadband Network: Yes
There are a few wireless networks on the same channel as me but 13 seems to be the only channel completely clear on the scan I just did, I'll manually set that to the wireless channel and retest.
**UPDATE**
So after changing the wireless channel from the automatic setting which was choosing the range of 1-4 to a more clear range 10-13 seemed to help, but im still only getting half of what I usually get on Wireless, which is the same as Ethernet - That's not hard to achieve 20MB on N wireless... so there is still an issue here.
Thanks for assisting so late at night also, appreciated
**UPDATE**
Seems to be doing well on wireless now, 2.2MB/s as per usual - Bit weird that the router was set to automatic and was picking the most congested wireless channel, could this be a fault?

More likely design My neighbour has a router which changes channel to match mine within a few minutes of mine being manually set to a new channel

Glad to hear things are back to normal.
If you could keep an eye on it that would be great. Let us know if you have any further issues with it
