Will speed improve...?

got activated on Tuesday and I am generally happy with the service. At first I was getting decent speeds although now I seem to be stuck at 0.94mbps download speeds. I know plusnet run tests on the line for the first ten days so I am hoping this speed will improve.
I hope it will anyway Cry

Re: Will speed improve...?

and the result of the BT speed test and the Plusnet Current Line Speed https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
However with the information you have given something is adrift.
I suspect that your line has been banded.
Do you have a test socket - see the video link in the post I linked to earlier - if so can you try the router in there and report the stats again
To answer the original question you should get over twice the speed you are

Re: Will speed improve...?

Regarding the test socket procedure...I think I'll hold off doing that for a little while. If I am still getting these speeds in a week or so, I will try it.

Re: Will speed improve...?

You can wait for a member of the Digital Care Team to pick this up but, if my assumption is correct and you have been banded it won't sort itself out until you find out why it was banded and then get the banding lifted
The usual reason for banding is a large number of disconnections in a very short time

Re: Will speed improve...?

how would I find out if I have been banded? Will it involve waiting for the care team to look into it for me?

Can you post the latest ADSL Line (Link) stats? We'll see if we can spot what is different.
