Wifi dropping out for PS4 and Firestick over the last week

Having replaced our PS4 with (two) refurbished ones, good quality, our wifi keeps dropping when watching Netflix and we have to go out of it, wait a while and then try again. To see if it was the PS4 or the wifi, I bought an Amazon Fire Stick, but I've had real trouble even getting it set up as it says the internet connection is too slow. It's a couple of rooms away from the router but we've not had any problems before and it's only just started happening. Just checked it again and it's at 0mbps - though it's better upstairs.

I know there can be problems if you're a distance from the hub, but as I say, it's been fine in the past.. Anyone know of anything that could have changed - and what can I do about it?

Thanks

Jill

Re: Wifi dropping out for PS4 and Firestick over the last week

Hey @Layoes,

I'm sorry to hear that this is occurring. I've run some tests on the line this afternoon and everything's coming back as we'd expect it to - have you been able to connect the PS4 via Ethernet cable to see if the same problems occur? Alternatively, you mentioned that you'd tried setting up a firestick but weren't successful - has this been the case for any other devices connecting on Wi-Fi around the property? Does the problem just seem to be in this one room?

Fix

I'm embarrassed to admit that I thought I'd tried everything but forgot the golden rule: "turn it off and turn it on again" which I have now done with the hub. It now seems to be working fine and I'll have to remember to do that periodically in future.

Thanks for responding anyway.
