@Hayden What service do you have - FTTC/SOGEA/Full Fibre?

Re: WiFi router won’t stop disconnecting

Check you router lights

Your router lights can tell you a great deal about what is happening when things are not as they should be. The colour of the lights and their state will tell you all you need to know ... if only you could find the help sheet which came with the router. That information can also be found in the depths of the on-line help & support guides. The following links make the material easier to find.

Hub Two flashing orange, suggests that xDSL cannot be established.

If this is ADSL / FTTC with a phone, a quiet line test (dial 17070 option 2) might be useful (is there noise) but you may as well run the diagnostic bot - see the link below.

Re: WiFi router won’t stop disconnecting

I live where there is no signal so I can’t even call phone numbers most of the time, the router is a solid green > flashing orange > solid orange > solid blue, it has always taken ages to come back online after a restart but it has never cut out as much as this, I wish I could give more info but this is all I have

Are you in an area that was subject to the storms last night ? It's possible that water has got into the phone line cables and joints.

Re: WiFi router won’t stop disconnecting

@Hayden In that case, I am afraid the only option you appear to have is to call in, however hard that is. I assume from the above that you do not have a landline phone?

Re: WiFi router won’t stop disconnecting

OK, in the period where you do get solid blue, run the diagnostic bot.  As hinted at by @MisterW a line fault is a likely candidate.

Looks line you have ADSL / FTTC service provision - I'll ask a mod to move the thread to the appropriate board.

Re: WiFi router won’t stop disconnecting

Thank you for reaching out to us on our Community Forum, I tried calling you noting no answer and no option to leave a voicemail, I hope you are well.

I'm sorry to hear your service wasn't working well in the last few days, I have run a test of the line which has not detected any faults, I also checked the provisioning of the line and the setting are optimal for the type of connection. Glad to see that the connection has now resumed and it seems to have stabilised over night.

I was wondering if your area was affected by the storm hitting the UK between Friday night and early this morning, as that would give an indication, please feel free to reply to the question raised on your account or through a comment/PM on the forum page.

I look forward to hearing from you soon
