Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Ok I usually get 60Mb down and 18Mb up since I'm waiting for DLM to put me back to 69Mb, but since maybe 9pm on the 4th I've getting my old ADSL speed or even worse, the lowest I had was 3.5Mb but it seem to go to maybe 12Mb and my upload is 18Mb.
My upload should never be higher than my download, what is going on?
I have disconnect and connected the router using the option in the menu of the router, I have tried resetting the router but nothing works. I've not touched the modem but I've very close to turning that off and on.
I'll upload 2 images of speedtests through speedtest.net and speedtest.btwholesale.com.
I can't check further diagnostics on the BT speedtest website as it wants to run a tap 3 test, I'll upload and image as well for that.

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Morning theograham1612,
Sorry to hear about the low speeds recently. I've ran a test on the line this morning and its picking up on a potential fault which I have now reported to our suppliers.
I've logged this on your account under ticket #91071044 and I'll update you when I get more information.

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Hi Dan,
It looks like it has sorted itself out but I'm only get 55Mb down and 13Mb up, what's going on?
Also does the Pro add on any use to fibre optic or not as I want to lower my ping.

Did you get the Pro add on to lower ping?
What did it actually do to your connection to make it worse?

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Hi theograham1612,
After taking a look at the account and the speed profiles across all the systems, it appears that everything is set as it should be here as well as in the BT system. No caps or banding is place on either the up or downstream so this shouldn't be causing any problems for you.
So I guess the questions are:
Are you seeing these results consistently?
Are the tests being carried out via ethernet or wireless (I think we already know the answer to this one but worth checking none the less)
Is it random or are you seeing it at set times of the day?

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Hi Adam,
It's the same results all the time and it's performed through an ethernet cable.

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Hey,
Ok so last night around 02:35 my router turned off all by itself, I don't know what happened, when I checked the router it was only the power light that was on.
Any reason why?
Also my IP profile is now 58.78Mbps so it's went down again. My upload is very slow again. Could it be because more people are taking up fibre optic from the cabinet?

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

I'd say that there has been further uptake in FTTC at your cabinet, it certainly looks that way.
I'd leave the connection for a week or so and see how it performs. The line will settle down, it might just need time if work is being carried out at your cabinet with other people taking up FTTC in your area.

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Hi Chris,
Do you think it will improve any? According to someone on the phone he thinks there might be a problem as it shouldn't be so low considering I was getting 69Mb at one point plus 18 upload.

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

It is possible, it really depends when the uptake calms down a bit in my opinion. Having engineers carry out work, near your connection for other customers might not be the best thing, but once that's calmed you might see an increase in speeds again when the line has settled.

Re: Why in my FIbre having a stroke?

Thanks Chris.
Is there anything that can be done to lower my ping at all?
Would the Pro add on benefit me at all?
Is there anything that can be done to increase my upload?
Thanks
