Why has my line been changed to interleaved?

For years I have had a solid 8128 sync. I don't think I've ever had a lower sync except in January 2004 when I switched to ADSL as was having trouble betting the IP Profile/Current line speed to change from the default 2000. I deliberately connected using a very long extension cable on a reel to force a temporary slower sync so that the changes in sync speed forced a uplift of the IP profile to 7150 where it has been ever since.
Today I noticed that my sync speed is 7616 and on looking at RouterStats, sure enough my line has been changed to interleaved.
I've attached the router stats screen shot - does anyone think 574 FEC errors in over 6 days warrants interleaving?
From looking at latency on my SamKnows monitoring and on the tbb monitor I have found out when it happened - 22nd July:

Off topic question.
Is the information from routerstats because you have the later version or is it the router
This is what I have
And you left your IP address in if you are bothered

I guess it's because my router is an original version 1 of 2004 vintage!
Having the IP in an image isn't probably that much of a problem - but I've taken it out anyway - thanks.

if its taken you 11? days to notice, surely the slight decrease hasnt been noticable?
Lets face it, you only noticed cause you looked at the stats (not due to a slow browsing experience)
im guessing a lower-sync' event occured on the 24th? the date is further away than the uptime of your router, you'd need to go back further and see what actualy happened around the 24th surely.

I had noticed that latency had increased, but it seems to change from time to time (BT changing the routing from exchange to Plusnet?) and had noticed that it had gone particularly high, but it never occurred to me that latency might have been turned on as I'd had no issues with disconnections or similar.

Looking further at the Sam Knows stats the speed has dropped as well.

Might be worth trying to get a visual radius from PN covering 21st - 25th? will show if theres any "issue" which arose from those few days?
Im guessing that will pop up in your ticket though im sure Smiley

Looks like a couple of disconnections on the 22nd may well be the cause here:

At 7616 synch, your profile will have dropped to 6500..

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

So it is.
When you look at that graph and see "Online for 9 days" and "online for 5 days" it just proves how badly broken the stupid DLM system is! What happened to blip logic that meant one of events are ignored?
I'm not going to see the benefit of the new DLM system either, 21CN isn't even scheduled for this exchange.

I've just tried a disconnect/reboot/reconnect (during which time you posted).

Line Attenuation 20 db 6.5 db
Noise Margin 11 db 15 db
Guessing interleaving off could be overnight.
Edit: Just read the ticket. 08/08/11 - oh well just have to be patient
