I would imagine a Linksys or TP-Link router - you would probably find something for £30 or so.

A lot of them are linksys or tp link.
But was wondering if anyone knew any model numbers that are DD-WRT compatible.

Re: Which routers are DD-WRT compatible

If you used Google as I just did for router dd-wrt compatible you would get the answer
http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database which linked to http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices but with a proviso that it might not be entirely accurate so you should check back with the first link

With the further proviso that if the need to search for information on your tod is going to be an obstacle, then bricking the router and not being able to fix it is a risk you'll run...    Wink
how about 20 quid? (Only one left in stock)

Hasn't got much memory (flash or ram) and I don't know how well it works with DD-WRT (it is compatible), but here's one happy customer's experience with OpenWRT for inspiration:

Eee, I remember life before Google, when even NCSA Mosaic was a revelation. It has changed lives. Try it: it could change yours!    Tongue

The Dlink 615 (which was given away by virgin) is a great little system and supports dd-wrt absolutely fine probably not hard to get hold of for free/cheap

Re: Which routers are DD-WRT compatible

I use the cable version and it can perform a variety of roles i like its range extender ability's when its acting as a repeater, it can also work with in walled garden setups as well and thats just a small taste of dd-wrt

Re: Which routers are DD-WRT compatible

I'm using a pair of TPLink 841N routers with DD-WRT on.
They cost me £20 each from Amazon but that deal is long gone. Tesco had some in between £32 and £35 each depending on the mood they are in.
Double check the version as there are 4 or 5 .......
