Which gateway tool is not identifying my gateway. Is it me??

3 days ago the gateway identification tool stopped working correctly. I receive the following reply to my interrogation:

Which gateway Sorry, the tool currently could not identify your gateway; this does not mean that anything is wrong with your connection.

Any ideas as to what's happening? Thanks.

Start > Run > cmd > traceroute bbc.co.uk

I'm obviously doing something wrong. The cmd prompt opens a black window which I believe is correct. However, when I enter the traceroute bbc.co.uk I get a response that traceroute isn't recognized as an internal or external command.

Under Windows I think it's tracert

Replace "traceroute" with tracert

I've had this a couple of times and think it's this specific gateway. If I drop PPPoE then it identifies most of the other gateways correctly
