When it does come along I'll volunteer for trialling the process. My local cab has just been upgraded from a shared FTTC unit halfway between two cabs to its own dedicated unit, so a lot shorter line length which should make for a higher/more reliable sync speed. Master NTE filter faceplate and dedicated wiring for router already fitted along with a router setup to auto-detect ADSL/VDSL (Draytek 2860) so in theory as soon as the cab/network cutover happens it should just sync up with no further intervention.

I doubt there will be much trialling from PN (they seem to have been trialling it internally already) - it shouldn't be more complicated than DSL self install...
