Re: Whats happening ?

Your line seems to be erroring quite frequently, the line test from the 6th of June was showing 7 seconds between errors and since then the SNR target has been reduced. I can see a fault ticket is open and with our team for further investigation.

Re: Whats happening ?

is it possible with the billion 7800n to find which line pair is in use ? this because a while ago they had to change over from outer to inner ( think thats the term ) but I'm wondering when the openreach workers reconnected they used the wrong pair

Re: Whats happening ?

inner pair / outer pair only applies to which pins in the RJ45 or RJ11 socket the pair of wires is connected to, in this country, the central two pins are used (the inner pair).

Re: Whats happening ?

If I understood the engineer correctly it was the pairs coming in to the house not the pins on the socket that he swapped over

Re: Whats happening ?

well the nice engineer came on time Smiley checked the line and got some sort of fault reading Smiley went away to check else where did another reading and said the first one must have been false because my line is good which is strange because I've disconnected any extension's so one corded phone in the master and the dsl tried 3 filters 2 routers and it still drops on incoming calls Angry so I'm stumped but atleast I'll save money on streaming services and be able to read a book while waiting for pages to load Wink
