What time does the broadband usually become active?

I have been told my internet is becoming active today. What time does the broadband usually become active? It's a horrid waiting game.

I've tried but it says authentication failed and asks me to revise my username and password (*******@plusdsl.net)

have you got a Thompson router from PN, and what colour light ore on the front? are they all green

Yeah it's a Thompson router,
All are green, except 'internet' which is off all together. When I try to connect it turns red and then green, then goes off again.
Broadband light is green - couldn't work out what this meant as this light's not even in the manual
