What's A BOT?

I have seen BOT in the job title in a response to a ticket.
It has a person's name so it's  not a response by artificial intelligence from a 'bot.
Boss of Team?
Back Office Technician?
Brewer of Tea?
...

I think it stands for "Broadband Operation Team" or something like that at least.

Yep, it's the Broadband Operations Team.  They deal with broadband provisioning, migrations, some faults etc...  Things to do with your actual line and working with the supplier regarding it.

As Liam says it's our Broadband Operations Team, and they spend time sorting out troublesome orders, provisioning issues and faults which have been sent to BT Wholesale.

BOT only deal with Provisioning.
There are specialised faults analysts in each team and on Business Support.

Although when a fault has been raised to BT the logged faults team here is still prefixed with BOT
