What is the timeline of seeing performance increase with ADSL2+

I am now advised I am live on ADSL2+ and have a 10 day training period.
I thought as with most negotiated services it would work it's way down to a stable level, is this an incorrect assumption on my part?
my connection details currently are:
Type Interleave Path
Status SHOWTIME

Downstream
Data rate(Kbps)   5477Kb
Noise Margin           7
Output power(dBm)  124
Attenuation(dB)   36

Upstream
Data rate(Kbps)   444Kb
Noise Margin           18
Output power(dBm)  198
Attenuation(dB)   25
what speeds, should I expect to be seeing?

In theory, about double.
BUT your stats suggest significant wiring problems, probably with your own internal/extension cables.  Embarrassed

HI darran,
I would expect a better sync rate based on your line length. How are you set up? Are you using an extension cable/socket? Can you plug into your test socket so I can test it again?

Re: What is the timeline of seeing performance increase with ADSL2+

I have raised a fault call with BT as looking at my master socket, I have found evidence of corrosion, must have been when we had leak through window when guttering turned into a waterfall last year.
Quite why they put the socket next to a window in the first place I have no idea! (there when we moved in)
anyway, BT are coming armed with that info tomorrow between 1-6pm.
but how will  this affect my training period and results attained so far?
Thanks

HI Darran,
Don't worry, just let me know when they've been and I'll run some checks for you.

HI darran,
Your profile is now 12000 so you should be seeing much better speeds now.
