Webcam Data Rate

Does anyone have knowledge of web-cam data rates when used on Live Messenger.
I've seen figures of around 25kb/s quoted.

Are you sure it was bits (b) and not bytes (B)?
On a good Skype path I get a rate of around 30kB/s.

Without re-googling the source I couldn't be sure but in any case some other sources quoted higher numbers.
