Matt just to let you know it was the MTU settings in my router I've upped the value & touch wood everything is working ok. Thanks for your help.

I am also suffering a similar problem. I am trying to reach www.stoacademy.com ; (204.93.183.28). The page loads on my phone and on another 2 friends systems so I know the site is live. I have tried a trace and it times out on the last hop to the destination IP. If I run a trial version VPN I can get the site to load but not on my raw plusnet connection. The site loaded ok a couple of days ago but has now been unreachable from my plusnet connection for over 24hrs.

It loads OK for me using Firefox/3.6.13 on Vista. Have you tried a different browser?

If it was a browser issue woudnt both the trace and ping work ok. My trace gets to 75.102.3.230 then times out finding the destination IP. I have tried chrome as well as ie8 and both fail.
