For some time now I have had various web sites appear as if they are not out there. For example, Google.co.uk is my homepage. Sometimes when I open IE I get the page cannot be displayed page and pressing F5 it almost instantly refreshing the ‘page cannot be displayed’ as if I have no internet connection. This can happen to any site at any time quite randomly. I have a Netgear router with a firewall but I have not fiddled with it in any way.
Its just happened to Google and earlier it happened to PlusNet as well. I’m not sure what end of the line the problem may be but as you can guess its really frustrating.

Pete,
That sounds an awful lot like a DNS problem.
Have you tried specifying our DNS servers on your network cards TCP/IP settings?
