Re: Watching FTTC Broadband!

The NTE5C master socket is by far and away the most problematical item in all this. When on ADSL I even considered bypassing it with hard wiring as my ultimate solution.

I ran the Plusnet Robo Phone Line Checker last night - didn't find anything wrong. Another drop last night:

02:28:02, 12 Jul. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=40000kbps, Up Rate=9999kbps; SNR Margin Down=15.3dB, Up=14.3dB
02:28:00, 12 Jul. PPP: Sending PADI
02:27:55, 12 Jul. PPP: Starting PPP daemon
02:27:26, 12 Jul. SIP WAN DOWN
02:27:26, 12 Jul. WAN Sensing Auto sensing Complete, interface selected
02:27:25, 12 Jul. WAN Sensing Auto sensing Running
02:27:25, 12 Jul. WAN connection WAN2_INTERNET_PTM disconnected.[ERROR_NO_CARRIER]
02:27:24, 12 Jul. PPP: Stopped PPP daemon(0,1,5)
02:27:24, 12 Jul. PPP LCP Send Termination Request (User request)
02:27:24, 12 Jul. PPP: IPCP down
02:27:24, 12 Jul. PPP: LCP down
02:27:24, 12 Jul. DSL Link Down: duration was 33713 seconds

However, this morning speed seems to have returned to normal, with ~37Mbps download!

Data rate: 9.999 Mbps/40 Mbps
Maximum data rate: 23.370 Mbps/73.306 Mbps
Noise margin: 14.4/15.2

Thanks to all.
