Virgin Media 100mb/s broadband

Virgin Media have announced plans for 100mbps broadband so what will PlusNet do over the next few months? With my current up to 20mb package being so aggressively throttled during the day downloading is more or less pointless, but a five fold increase in speed should be somewhat of an improvement.

The answer is absolutely nothing as they don't use cable.
Now Fibre to the Cabinet is a different proposition but until the pricing from BT Wholesale changes from usage basis to some other system you will only get higher speeds on all types of usage if you are prepared to pay for it.

Prepared to pay if I could get it!  But with my line length I think I'll have to wait for FTTC / FTTP!  Crazy
