Very slow to load pages and very high ping for fttc

My net has been getting slower and slower. When I test with BT speedchecker I get the correct download and upload speeds of 26 down and 6 up but my ping is way up to 60ms. Is there anything That can be done to get a more reasonable ping and make the net work using once more.

Hi Podman,
Is that over a wired or wireless connection?
Is it all web pages that are slow, is this just at certain times?

Wired and all pages 😞 Still the same today.
BT Speedtest give decent download / upload speeds just this very poor ping.
BT speedtest just gave pings of 40ms but speed to view pages suggests it higher.
The BT test page is the only page to come up in any reasonable time is it given priority?

BT Test Ping of 0.00ms from one extreme to the other must be a flaw.
Now back to 63ms

Does this happen on more than one device?
It might be worth opening a command prompt and running a ping and tracert command to the website you're trying to get to.
