Very slow broadband - any ideas?

Hi,
I normally have a rock steady broadband, but I am now struggling with very slow download speeds, slower than the upload speeds.  Before I create a ticket can anyone help to see whether there is anything I could be doing wrong myself.  The speeds have been slow since Friday.
I have moved my router to the BT master socket and unplugged all my internal wiring except one phone.  This does not appear to have changed things at all.
Router stats:

The result of my most recent My Broadband speed tests are here:

Today 10:52 332 kbps (41.5kB/s) 376 kbps (47kB/s)
I can't get the full BT broadband speed test to work as I can't complete test 3, my router won't allow a blank password!
Phone exchange:
    STAFFORD
Estimated line speed:
    8Mb (Accurate to within +/- 1Mbit) - Checked on 2011-04-23 10:01:30
Current line speed:
    0.35 Mb
Until all the recent plugging and unplugging, the router has been left connected full time to the phone socket and left switched on.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Re: Very slow broadband - any ideas?

Changing your internal connection seems to have fixed the problem.
It has all the hallmarks of an unfiltered device (phone, Sky box, etc.) or a failed filter

Hi there,
I agree with Jim - it looks like either a filter or something plugged into your phone line isn't working as it should, and removing it has solved things:

Re: Very slow broadband - any ideas?

Hi oldjim and Matt,
Sorry it has taken such a while to reply, thanks for both of your comments.
I forgot to say everything got better ONCE I'd returned all the wiring to as it was.  I spent all of Sunday with the router plugged into the Service socket on the NTE5. Unfortunately I couldn't keep it like that for too long as all my other comms and phone were out of order at that point.  The speed didn't increase until overnight, by which time I'd restored all the wiring.
What I meant to do was to post the line stats from my router before I plugged into the master socket.  To my untrained eye they didn't look vastly different, they are posted below:
The only thing I can think is that one of the screws connecting the top half of the NTE5 to the rest of it has pulled through the plastic cover.  Thus maybe there is a slightly loose connection of my additional wiring to the NTE5 itself.  I'll make sure I get this replaced.
