Very Slow Upload Speed

My download speed seems okay, although does vary drastically depending which gateway I am connected to, but have noticed that my upload speed is much slower than it used to be and it seems to take ages to prepare for upload test whereas before it was immediate after download test?

Hi there,
That speed test is wrong.
The theoretical maximum speed on an 8Mb line is 7.15Mb, due to overheads and BT line profiles.
Further to that, you specific profile has been set at 6.5Mb for the last few days.
What are the upload stats in your router control panel?

How do I check the upload stats in my router control panel, it is a Thomson (Plusnet) Router?
This is a different speed tester....

Oh dear - you have a major problem.
Is there any noise on the line - dial 17070 option 2 Quiet Line Test
Have you another router you can try

No noise on the line, however I have recently moved my router and run a new ADSL line with voice to a new position from a filtered Master Faceplate, could the new connections cause a problem, I thought it either works or doesn't?
Not sure if this problem was there previously as hadn't had a reason to check it until I moved PC locations.
Are you saying it is just my upload speed is a major problem or both?

Just your upload speed although the full router stats - attenuation, noise margin and speeds - would confirm that

Just spotted something.
You said that you ran a new line from the filtered master faceplate for voice and broadband  - if this was a single wire from one of the outputs on the master faceplate that will have messed things up very badly

Right have checked my connections again and noticed that I had connected the ADSL pair to a pair of coloured Green/white No.3 terminals on the ADSL/Voice junction box which I thought was correct as colours were as cable, however on looking again at my connection drawing I did before I moved location and they were connected to a blue/white pair No.1 terminals, so have reconnected them as before...
Router Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 7,648
This seems to be correct now but don't understand how colour coding on ADSL socket is wrong and that it half works if connected incorrectly..?

So do the router readings seem about right now?   
If so looks like I screwed up when I changed PC location..
