Re: Very High Ping and Lots of Disconnections!!

Hi - not without some more information, like your router stats for starters ..... (text taken from a recent post by Another)
Results of a BT speedtest http://www.speedtester.bt.com/
Your current line speed from https://portal.plus.net/m...ction=data_transfer_speed (login required)
The ADSL Line stats from your modem/router, see http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php for help in getting these.
Can you hear any crackling noises on your line when using the phone? and who do you pay line rental to?
Using the exchange checker http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/  please copy and paste the current status.

Re: Very High Ping and Lots of Disconnections!!

Plusnet has not cut your speeds.
You may care to read http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,103946.msg888986.html#msg888986 which will explain what's probably going on, but bear in mind the 2nd & 3rd paragraphs are in the context of another user's issue.
Bullet has asked for some of the basic information needed to help track down the problem and will no doubt help with some ideas.

Re: Very High Ping and Lots of Disconnections!!

Hi there,
Your profile's been banded on BTs side of things, likely caused by the drops in connection that are happening every so often:

Bear in mind this will be improved since the banding was applied (looking at BTs side this was done back at the start of February).
Is the router in the master socket, and are all phones (and anything else plugged into the line) done so through a microfilter? Also with regard to the above, are the router stats - sync speed etc - improved if it's plugged into the test socket (behind the master socket front plate)?
Another thing worth checking for is any noise on the phone line, in case that could be causing it. If you get any hissing, crackling or popping then let us know and if it still happens with just a single corded phone plugged into the master socket we'll get the line tested and a fault raised for you.
