VNC Access plusnet Fibre

Hi,
I have installed RealVNC and am having problems allowing it through my Technicolor TG582n FTTC  on plusnet Fibre.
When I use the tool within RealVNC to check connections I get this message:
Connection test failed.
VNC Server appears to be behind a NAT router with IP address 87.113.224.218. You will need to configure that router to forward port 5900 to this computer before you can connect to VNC Server over the Internet.

I have logged into the router and gone through these steps:
Toolbox > Game & Application Sharing > Assign a game or application to a local network device
I then choose VNC from the drop-down list and pick my laptop in the right hand box.
I have also tried disabling the Windows Firewall (I am on Windows 7 Pro).
Please find enclosed a screenshot from the router screen.  let me know if you need any more information.
Thanks
Peter Jones

Re: VNC Access plusnet Fibre

If you click the VNC hyperlink in the router interface then what port translations are displayed?
If you check here from the machine with the server installed does it tell you port 5900 is open?
What happens if you try to connect from an external viewer?

Re: VNC Access plusnet Fibre

Thanks for the reply.  I have found it was my anti-virus being over zealous, so all sorted now.
Thanks again,
