Usage reported by TG582n - very dodgy figures

According to the router
Uptime: 3 days, 21:35:47
DSL Type: ITU-T G.992.3
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 888 / 3.869
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [GB/GB]: 1,99 / 1,73
According to Plusnet Total about  1.9GB
Why is the router reporting masses of upstream usage

You might be in a better position to tell us Jim. Am I to take it you're not aware of anything obvious that could have led to that?

Probably a software issue with the router and should say [MB/GB]  199 / 1.73
That would = the Plusnet 1.9 GB  Smiley

Re: Usage reported by TG582n - very dodgy figures

Mine currently says
Uptime: 10 days, 19:44:44
DSL Type: ITU-T G.992.5
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1.180 / 9.721
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 634,51 / 14,66
despite 1.22GB being transferred yesterday according to VMBU. Can't verify from Networx on my PC since most of that data was to/from a non-monitored TV but the total is about right.
I think one can conclude that Data Transferred doesn't mean much. Tongue

I asked about this before and its not accurate, so not worth relying on.

Perhaps the figure goes back to zero when it exceeds 2^31 - 1 bytes or something like that.
