Usage query

This is a query only - I'm not concernced, merely curious, and I've only just noticed.
My router, which has been on the same ip &c for the last 18 days or so, is showing a total of 22.0GB usage, whilst the PN figure for the  same period is showing 7.65GB.
That 22GB is almost two months worth, when compared to the PlusNet figures.
Any ideas?

Re: Usage query

Are you comparing like for like periods - is the plusnet fig  from here  https://portal.plus.net/view_my_broadband_usage/index.php?&strAction=PERIOD
can you see your monthly detail page so you can add up the usage on the individual days.

Re: Usage query

Do you have multiple devices on your home network which communicate with each other? The router may be including LAN traffic whereas the Plusnet figure is WAN only.

Re: Usage query

@cedlor - yes I am comparing like for like - I've been around on the net (and PlusNet) for long enough to know how it works.  Wink
@spraxyt - I only have  one laptop and an Ipad running (normally), and very occaisionaly one other wired laptop or desktop - can't see why they would be communicating.
Thanks anyway.
