I have just completed my first month with PN and I am very happy with it.
I have just checked my usage and see that overnight it has been recorded as gaming usage, I have been in bed since 11:30 and no one else has used it. I am connected by Ethernet not wireless and  protected by Avast

There is always a certain amount of background traffic coming from the internet to you, it's pretty random how that gets recorded. Providing the total overnight usage is low it's normal and nothing to worry about.

I have a similar question.
I have a small amount of usage overnight, does this mean the background traffic is also being recorded during the day towards my total allowance?
Do I have to make allowances for it if I get near my 10gb?

HI BusyBee,
Although it would I wouldn't be concerned about small figures like this. Just remember that even 1MB is only 1/10,000th of your monthly allowance.
