Upstream rate now capped & BT profile fixed to 2500

I have been on a trail that turns DLM off and it has largely been successful however after a recent issue i now find that the upstream has been capped and the BT profile is stuck at 2500 my plusnet profile is 5500  the figures below show the issue more clearly
My Router Stats            Uptime 118:06:09 Hours
        ADSL Link     Downstream    Upstream
Connection Speed       6357 kbps       440 kbps
Line Attenuation      41.5 db       22.2 db
Noise Margin       6.0 db       25.5 db

Plusnet line speed
    4 - Checked on 2010-10-04 14:09:11
Current line speed:
    5500
BT Sppedtest
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2269 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 1200-4000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :6357 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 440 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2500 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 12.73:21.08:66.2 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.
The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.
2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.
Upload Speed
320 Kbps
0 Kbps 440 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
>Upload speed achieved during the test was - 320 Kbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 440 Kbps
I have called the faults team several times and they don't seem unable or unwilling to do anything about the stuck BT profile. I did query the capped upload an I was told that everyone has a capped upload.
I don't mind taking part in trails to help improve broadband for others. but don't kick me into the long grass when thing get complicated.

Re: Upstream rate now capped & BT profile fixed to 2500

Hi ctech500,
Everyone's upload is capped unless otherwise requested and as for the profile, the no DLM will just stop your line from being banded and allow it to sync at it's highest rate, but a profile will still be set depending on the sync rate. I'll check a few things out and let you know what I find.

I have been on a trail........

I know it is considered bad form to criticise spelling but I found it hard to make sense of this post until I realised that ctech500 means trial when he/she writes "trail"

Hi ctech500,
Having just ran a line test your PN & BT profiles are both 5500. Are you not seeing this now?

Re: Upstream rate now capped & BT profile fixed to 2500

Hi ctech500,
When did you run that BT speed test? Because I've checked all BT systems available to me and they're all showing 5500 ip profile.

Re: Upstream rate now capped & BT profile fixed to 2500

Hi JoJo
I ran those tests yesterday afternoon, below is today's test

0 Kbps 4000 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed

I had a chat with one the guys on faults who informed me that it  could be contention. But if this is the case why is BT speedtester  showing me a profile of 2500 as highlighted
you can check my last two tickets to get a picture of what is going on

Re: Upstream rate now capped & BT profile fixed to 2500

Hi ctech500,
Hmm, something's amiss there because as you see your download speed is actually greater than your ip profile. I'll have a delve and see what I can come up with. Thanks for your help so far.
