I recently changed from the Pro package to value as I was getting fed up of being close on my download limit most of the time.I used to get speeds of around 1.8mb download and 0.7mb upload ( :'()but now my upload is only touching 0.3mb.
Surely changing the package would make no difference to my upload or am I wrong?
Forgot to say my router atm is saying 832 / 2,432

Hi monkey001,
A package change would not change your upload speed. Is that wired or a wireless result?

0.7mbps is the maximum you can squeeze out of a Max Premium line which syncs at a maximum of 832kbps as per your stats. There is no profiling on BT's side or our side, as per our Broadband Upload Speeds page so the problem is almost certain to be local and unrelated to the package change.
What protocol are you using to test your speeds? If you're using something like a peer-to-peer client then this will be unreliable at best. Please try on a few different sites, maybe http://speedtest.net/ or http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/ and if the results are still poor, reboot router, pc and try an alternate router and pc too - this should clear the problem out.

Weird how one minute its fine then I change the package then it isn't as good.
Will try and see if it improves tomorrow.

Hi monkey001,
Max Premium is currently not configured on your account. Although it looks like it has been there, the package change may have indeed affected it. This is not normal behaviour, and looking at your account, I'm not sure how this was configured originally, as you have never paid the max premium charge of £7.83 per month.

Hi
Maybe on package change your upload speed has been capped to the standard 448kbps.
If so request it be uncapped.
