Upload speed capped?

I know from my previous ISP Be* that my line is capable of a download of about 10Mbps and an upload speed of about 1.7Mbps.
Since moving to Plusnet, my download has stayed the same but my upload has dropped to about 0.9Mbps.
I'm moving to FTTP anyway (as soon as someone opens my ticket...) but in the meantime big uploads are mucho frustrating - am I capped, and if so, can it be lifted?

Re: Upload speed capped?

Hi there,
As Be provide shared LLU broadband services that means the upload speed would have been different which is inherent to that type of connection. The connection you have with us based on ADSL2+ technology which offers a maximum upload of around 1mb.
Hope that explains it and that its not too disappointing.

Roll on FTTP... that is pretty gutting news.
