Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

My upload speed is only 0.10mb/s. Is there anything that can be done to improve this?
Thanks,
Martin

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

According to that your upload speed from the BT speedtest is 0.37Mps so where were you seeing the 0.1Mbps

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

I got 0.10 using www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk last night over wifi.
The 0.37 was using ethernet and the BT speedtest. If I run it using the wifi, the upload speed is 0.08.

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

The slow wireless upload speed could be due an apparently unfixable fault with the 585v8: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,92497.0.html

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

With the DS attenuation figure and plenty of DS SNRM headroom, the DS synch rate should be better.
Have you looked at your exchange details to see if 21CN is available?

In which case something is screwed
I suggest leaving it for the morning where staff will pick it up and sort it
I have flagged it up so should ensure it is spotted

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

Jim,
That depends - if this user is on 20CN for a particular reason, then it is not ideal, but not totally broken.

Martin,
Put your phone number and post code in here and lets see what the Sam Knows BB checker says is available at your property / line.  If 21Cn is available, then you ought to ask PN if they can re-provision you on 21CN (uncapped).  This might deliver the top end of ADSL2+ speeds.

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

As his exchange is 21CN enabled I am not sure what your problem is

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

Townman, on Sam Knows I get green ticks for BT Wholesale ADSL, BT Wholesale ADSL Max & BT Wholesale WBC (21CN).
Jim, thanks for flagging it up.  Hopefully the PN staff can help in the morning.
Thanks for the help everyone.

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

Morning martinstewart,
I've had a quick check through the details on your account and it appears that you are indeed on the 20CN product. Unfortunately after checking the availability for 21CN it seems that your exchange is capable however there are some capacity issues which means we cannot get an order accepted.
You can check the availability on the BT availability checker and it currently states that you should have additional availability on or around the 11th July 2014. It would be worth checking this between now and then as it has been known to be brought forward.

Thanks,
Adam C

Re: Upload speed, 0.10mb/s

Thanks Adam.  Once the 21CN is available will I need to request for you guys to activate it, or does this happen automatically?
