Can Plusnet please reset SNR and set SNR at 6dB and get the upload capped removed please because I got a new Router today from 1pm as my other router is faulty. Thanks.

Re: Upload capped & SNR Reset

Hi there,
Just requested the SNR reset and set the downstream target margin to 6dB for you. Not sure why your upstream sync is at 445kb/s as it's definitely showing as uncapped, but if the SNR reset doesn't sort that let us know and we'll look into what's going on there.
Hopefully though you should see that take effect within the next couple of hours and it'll sort the upstream too.

Re: Upload capped & SNR Reset

Thanks it all looking good now. Going to try to stable the line for next 72 hours then try another SNR reset to 3dB.

Re: Upload capped & SNR Reset

As it is a retrain you are now in the 10 day training period so fiddling with the noise margin really isn't a good idea as it may decide to kick the default noise margin up to 9dB

Re: Upload capped & SNR Reset

ok thanks for a warning jim. I don't mind wait until 10 days training is over, then try SNR of 3dB. What happn if the PN current line profile of 16.6Mb might change to match BT one at 14.2Mb at anytime soon  (will it affect DLM at exchange ?)

Re: Upload capped & SNR Reset

Plusnet profile will have no effect as that just restricts the amount of data hitting the exchange
