Upload cap

I've had a search through but couldn't see an answer...
I asked for my upload speed to be uncapped this morning, does anyone know how long this takes?
I was also told there would be no need to reboot the router is that correct. I have good sync at the moment and don't want to mess with that Wink

Re: Upload cap

The time I was quoted was 5 to 7 days. In the end it was the 7th day when it changed. (Had to change back to capped though due to noise spikes on the upstream)
When the line is uncapped it will cause a resync with your exchange, probably likely sometime during the day.
That's RPM to you!!

Re: Upload cap

Thanks. I'm certain the agent I spoke to this morning said it should be uncapped by this afternoon. I must have misheard or just hoped...

Re: Upload cap

My recent experience.
The order goes through the same day,  it takes 7 days to be activated, check tickets on your account.
You get an email when it happens, no need to reboot.

Re: Upload cap

When I had this done on my first line it took 7 days.
When I called to have it done on my second line the rep said that there were two ways to submit the order, one taking a week or so and the other just a day.
He did it the second way (Manually?) and it completed overnight.

Re: Upload cap

Would someone mind checking to see if it was done manually, please, considering I thought the agent I spoke to said the change would be pretty imminent.

Re: Upload cap

Hi Mav,
Sorry about this - looks like there was a problem with the automated order and it didn't get placed. Just done so manually for you, it should complete tomorrow.

Re: Upload cap

The upload was uncapped sometime before 5am. Upload sync currently 995kbps.
Download speed has reduced by around 200kbps but I understand that is expected.
Thanks again.
