Upload Uncapped Please

For some reason unbeknown to myself my broadband has fixed itself and I have had a solid connection for 10 days.
I am happy with this, however my upload speed has been capped again.
Can I have it uncapped again please?
Thanks

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Now that my connection issue has been resolved, will the download speed increase and go back to what it was when I first moved in?

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

It certainly should do, any chance you could post your router stats so we can have a look at the SNR values and current sync rate?

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Log in to the thomson at http://192.168.1.254 (default username is admin and the password is the serial number on the bottom of the router, starting CP). Once logged in click Broadband Connection on the left, then DSL connection under that, and finally click 'details' up in the top right. That will give you the connection stats Smiley

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Hi RyanGould,
I've raised your profile to 16100 to allow for your new BT IP profile. Bear in mind that the reason it's currently this high is that your SNR is currently 2dB. So, that means that it does have the potential to lower a bit.

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

What information do you want? your sync rate is 888 upstream, if it was still capped it wouldn't be any higher than 448 Smiley

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

It was 1200kbs, after the issues it was reduced to 888kbs.
I thought that was the capped speed, hence the request to have it back to what it was?

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Ah, that'll be because interleaving is on the upstream Smiley

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Doe to high error rates or similar, the exchange equipment has added something (additional error correction) to make your line more stable but this does reduce the sync rate, without this your line might be very unstable having a much worse effect than the reduced speed.
