Upgraded my package and still no change

After posting a question re my broadband a couple of weeks ago I upgraded my package after being told this would mean myself and children could be online at the same time, use iplayer without it buffering after 4pm and stream films from lovefilm. Well my package was upgraded on the 3rd. coincidental or not as the case maybe but my phone line went off. Because of the bank holiday it took until yesterday the 9th for BT to check my lines and all is well with them. They said it was a problem at the exchange. Well today at 4.30pm my internet was really slow. I couldn't get onto iplayer or stream from lovefilm ( this worked no problem this morning) and while on my laptop pages were really slow loading.My son tried to watch something on you tube and this wouldn't play either. I know I live in a village but my firends who are with either sky or orange have no problem with their connection.I'm feeling a little ripped off!

well as usual I'm up on a Saturday morning hoping to catch up on programmes on Iplayer and this morning its just buffering away and isn't playing at all. so there is a change since I upgraded. My connection is worse!!!!!! on my old package at least I could watch until 4pm before this started. What's going on and what can I do to sort  it?

Hi moomoo,
I've had a check over your connection, I can see that the phone fault looks to have caused some disruption on your connection....

It was stable all yesterday, was it any better then? Are the devices connected wired or wireless?
