Unsuccessful Activation

Hi All, 

 

Really hope somebody may be able to help. I received an email stating that my broadband had been activated and was up and running. I plugged in and turned on the router but have no internet connection whatsoever. I did contact Live Chat support but no faults were identified in testing. The broadband light is green but the internet light is red. 

I did set up and run diagnostics on a TP-Link router, which read: 

  • ATM OAM Segment Ping Pass      
  • ATM OAM end to end Ping Pass      
  • Test PPP Server connection Pass      
  • Test authentication with ISP Pass     
  • Test assigned IP address Pass      

 

  • Ping default gateway Fail      
  • Ping primary Domain Name Server Fail      
  • Test DNS Root Fail      
  • Network Connection Status Inspect(NCSI) Fail

I'd be hugely grateful if anyone can help, I've had nothing but issues with Plusnet thus far and patience is really beginning to thin.

Hi Charlie.

After a few drops last night, it looks like your router has connected to the internet and you're up and running now?
