Re: Uncapping download/upload

Hi Lisa - welcome to the Forums Smiley
I've taken a look at your connection and can see that you already have the maximum available upload (Max Premium) and downstream speeds for a 20CN Line ('Up to 6Mb').
I have noticed that your exchange is 21CN Enabled ('Up to 16Mb') so I've placed an order for your connection to be moved onto this technology.
Differences:
You won't have to pay for Max Premium as we can uncap your upload speeds free of charge (We'll remove this once the order has completed).
Your speeds should increase from 6.5Mb to around 16Mb
This doesn't cost you any extra at all, you'll be saving money as you won't have to pay for Max Premium any longer
I hope this helps.

Re: Uncapping download/upload

Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for looking into this for us. The extra speeds will be gratefully received.  I'm sick of listening to complaints from the children + partner over buffering, The arguments will hopefully stop, hooray.
Kind regards Lisa  Cheesy

Hi Chris,
I wonder if you can give me an update as to when the line change to the 21cn will happen? I have looked at the line test and afaik it says line speed 21mg.
Kind regards Lisa

It's still going through for you, it does take 7 days to complete so on the 17th you should see the difference.

Re: Uncapping download/upload

Hi Chris,
My download speed has gone up to 15 mbps on a wireless connection, which is fantastic.
Would it be possible to uncap the upload speed yet? as this remains the same as before the switch.
Kind regards Lisa

Re: Uncapping download/upload

What are you currently getting? If I remember rightly the uploads used to be capped at around 300kb (i think)
If you are still on one of the old packages I suspect the upload cap is determined by your package but if you move onto essentials or unlimited, the caps are removed and you get line speed for upload. As I say, I dont know what package you are on but could be worth a look.

Re: Uncapping download/upload

As you were previously on Max Premium the upload may not go up by much. Could the post the results of the BT diagnostic speed test and the stats reported by your router (information here).

Re: Uncapping download/upload

That's pretty much what I expected - you've had a small increase in the upstream sync speed. To get more you'd have to go to Annex M which is chargeable and gives the extra speed by taking it away from the downstream.

Re: Uncapping download/upload

As Jelv has mentioned above, the speeds you're now getting are pretty much the best we're going to be able to get you.
We could look at Annex M if you're wanting to increase your upload further.

Re: Uncapping download/upload

Thank you very much for the help.
I think we will see how things go with the slight increase in upload. I'm going to try and wait for fibre. Hopefully there won't be another delay at the exchange.
