Hi PlusNet,
I was connected for the first time yesterday and have run a few speed checks. Previously I consistently achieved between 7/8Mb down but cannot now get anything above 5.76Mb.
I read a couple of posts here today that have mentioned capping at 6Mb, hence this request please
Would it be possible to uncap my download/upload please?
Many thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,
Welcome to the Forums
Your line is on what we call 20CN. This means that unfortunately we can't uncap your upload free of charge, our suppliers charge for it 😕 If you really need it, you can look into Max Premium.
I've made some amendments to your Speed Profile which should increase your speeds slightly within the next few hours. If your exchange is regraded with 21CN (Uncapping is free of charge) we would be more than happy to get this sorted out for you. You can keep an eye on this here.

Many thanks for the quick reply and tweaks you have done Chris.
Most appreciated and can I just say I am impressed with the customer support here at PlusNet
I wasn’t aware I could improve upload speeds on my 20CN line, just knew 7/8mb down was possible. I will look into the Max Premium. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I presume those charges would be monthly?
21CN will be a few years away I imagine for me as there isn’t the volume population base to make it cost effective. Fingers crossed one day though
Many thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,
That's right, Max Premium is a monthly charge.
Fingers crossed, you never know, they may roll out Fibre, definitely worth keeping an eye on http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/ too.
