UTorrent problem

Hi,
i just wondered if you could help me and tell me wether or not the problem is on my end or if its blocked or something? i dont know.
Ive used utorrent for a good few years, i have all my ports correctly opened and firewall setup correctly, yet for some reason i am consistently getting "Connection closed by peer" and a red down arrow
no matter which torrent im downloading.
Just wondered if you could clarify its something on your end i know theres nothing i can do about it.
cheers

StephenF,
Has this problem only started recently? Which Plusnet package are you on?

Re: UTorrent problem

Do you have firewall blocking at the plusnet end of things switched on?
See https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=firewall&firewallPage=basic
Personally, I make this switched off
- but I wouldn't recommend this if you are running a Windows PC.

Re: UTorrent problem

Within uTorrent there is an test to see if your ports are open, what does this say?

If it helped click the thumb
If it fixed it click 'This fixed my problem'

Re: UTorrent problem

Have you tried an alternative P2P client such as Vuze (which works for me) Cheesy

Re: UTorrent problem

Me too - in fact
My son uses uTorrent on Windows whilst I use vuze on Linux.
And they both work, simultaneously. Grin
