Turn off router

If I went on holiday for two weeks is it a good idea to turn off my router would I have problems connecting after being away for that time,and is there a chance that my connection woud drop anyway.

If you don't intend to use the router for 2 weeks then it's fine to switch it off.
You should have no problems reconnecting when you get back. You don't loose your ADSL connection due to lack of use, it is there permanently as long as you pay the bill.
