Hello,
I have just been upgraded to the new Fibre Unlimited and I have noticed that my USENET connections are extremely slow during the daytime, however at night they are fast.
I have a 1gb file currently downloading at 14 KB/s and is due to take 22hrs to complete!
Does Plusnet apply traffic shaping to USENET during daytime hours?
Thanks

This is plusnets fibre traffic policy, so i see no reason why it should be slow during the day.

How many connections are you using? Which Usenet server are you using? Do you know anyone else (not on Plusnet) using the same servers that you could compare speeds with? (It might be an issue external to Plusnet)
It might also be worth seeing what you get from another Plusnet gateway.
