Trade Download Speed For Upload Speed ?

Hi
Title says it all really - is there any way to trade download speed for upload speed ?
I have a solid 7.5mb download connection, but the upload is very slow. This is not a fault - it's running at near enough 448kbps (actually around 450kbps - 45K), but it's just so slow compared to download speed.
My nextdoor neibour who is with a different isp (think sat tv) gets just about double my upload speed (and almost double my download speed !), which is annoying lol.
Anything I can do ?  I'd even concider paying a bit more for better upload speed.
Thanks

Re: Trade Download Speed For Upload Speed ?

if your exchange is enabled for ADSL2+, 21CN in BT speak, you could move on to that and get both higher download and upload.
Otherwise your only option is to pay for ADSL Max Premium which will double your upload speed, this costs around 8-9 pounds a month.

£7.83 - details available starting from here: http://portal.plus.net/wizard/?wizard_id=20
Note that although it says all broadband customers it is only relevant to 20CN users.

Yup it's set up and working fine - big thanks  Cheesy
FTTC - Yeha I'd love it !!!  Sadly I live in a semi-rural location (morecambe) and doubt it will be here any time soon lol.

Re: Trade Download Speed For Upload Speed ?

I guess in BT speak are they saying that it's their intention to roll out in your area at some stage - which is good
So go ahead and register an interest...you never know  Roll_eyes
