Tie pairs

My fiber activation date has been and gone, it will be three weeks tomorrow since I have had no Internet.
Open reach came to make the install, popped off for more than an hour and said there was a fault with the cabinet.
I admit I'm not the most patient person, but surely I shouldn't have had to wait 2 weeks already while they get a new socket/tie pairs for the cab??? The engineers told me one thing (socket), CS tell me it's tie pairs.
I've had to fork out for a wireless wifi hotspot and am hopping on and off throughout the day and data from mobile phone carriers is expensive.
I've heard it can take months to get new tie pairs or get the issues resolved, so as you can imagine, I'm feeling a bit grim about the whole thing.

Hi there, just spent an hour on echat to our suppliers to chase this, the upshot basically being that there'll be an update next week at the same time - they're waiting on the hardware supplier for the new gear to be installed.
We'll keep chasing this for you.
