Throttled sync speed after fault?

Hi guys,
I had a major phone problem yesterday with crosstalk and all sorts (unsurprisingly this took the net out too), logged fault with BT and they have resolved it promptly this afternoon.
Problem I have now that my adsl snr & attenuation look great, but it seems to be 'artificially' stuck at 284kbps. I have 27 attenuation and a noise margin of 31db which leads me to believe it has been stuck at that sync speed rather than a target snr? 15 for example?
Every other time I've had a fault it's gone back to a 15db target and worked its way back to 6 or so, the 31 suggests that it has fallen off that system?
Any ideas?
EDIT:
BT Speedtest:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 39 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 100-250 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :284 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 135 Kbps
Router stats:
Connection Speed 284 kbps
Line Attenuation 27 db
Noise Margin 31 db

Hi t0mt0m,
I can see the connection has now stabilised, I'm just requesting the profile is reset for you to restore the speed. I'll post back shortly when it's been confirmed for you.

Done - you're now in sync somewhere over the 14000 mark
Should be all good now.
EDIT: BRAS has been altered now but could take up to two hours to take effect.

Thanks for that, BRAS & plusnet profile now seem to be 13000, but something still seems to be amiss, have absolutely terrible throughput, even surfing is down to a crawl.
BT Test:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 127 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 4000-21000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :14904 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 13000 Kbps
Any ideas?

Current line speed:
13000
Looks like something is still stuck somewhere!
Just checked again this morning, seems to have sorted itself out, 12~mb.
Thanks all
