For those of us having our package changed post install, will we need to do anything like power cycle the BT modem on the day of the change? Or is it all automated?

It's automatic you won't need to do anything.

I just got an email saying theres no fault on my line.
Im still on the wrong profile though. When I check it still says my line speed is 40Mb.
Speed tests show just over 40Mb.
I called Saturday and still nothing.  Angry

If you're getting just over 40 on speed tests you are not on a 40/10 product, most you will get on a 40 meg product is about 38. Of course there could still be a problem somewhere.

They've both been modified so you should now see a speed increase.
Let me know if that's not the case.

Re: This is getting ridiculous

My speeds have worsened.  Currently between 20-25. If I check line speed through member centre its still set to 40Mb.

Do a BT speed test to see what your profiles set to on their side?

Re: This is getting ridiculous

Its set to 58Mb. Its very inconsistent though. I get 50 one test and 20 the other. Tried both wired and wireless.

Im not at home at the moment. But it did say there was no faults on the line. What bugs me is that my line is limited to 56Mb.

Re: This is getting ridiculous

I've fixed your profile so it matches your sync rate.  Try some speed tests now?

Re: This is getting ridiculous

Speeds are better now but profile is still stuck at 59Mb.
I thought it would have been a simple process to change the profile.

Mine was still the same this morning when I checked about an hour ago. Chris Parr posted this in another thread I posted in though, so maybe there's nothing you can do at the moment...?

We've placed orders to correct those activated up until Tuesday (new signups). If it's an upgrade from ADSL to Fibre we'll be doing those asap.
Anyone activated after Tuesday we'll also be picking up asap.
At the moment we're unable to place an order to correct yours as the installation order hasn't completely closed off yet, we'll get that done shortly.

You are syncing at 60Mbps from the look of it.  If that is below your estimate, you should raise a ticket.

The profile Kelly changed is the Plusnet one.
The one reported by the BT speedtest is directly calculated from the sync speed and is dependent on your distance to the cab.
So it appears that is what you are going to get

Re: This is getting ridiculous

Same story here...
How long should it take after being moved up to 80/20 for the actual speed increase to take effect?
I informed Plusnet last Friday, the upgrade to 80/20 was supposed to have been completed within 72 hours (so by around Tuesday/Wednesday if working days), but there has been no change to the download speed, which has always been at 37Mb.
My Upload speed did however increase from to what was expected and is around 16Mb.
Order number is 1-14562513025

@armid
Check two things -
Run the BT speedtest with second stage diagnostics - what is the IP profile
Check the Current line speed here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
