Re: Plusnet please fix my speeds :( FTTC

Just to clarify some confusion problem 74168 has been raised with instances where we've provisioned the wrong product on our systems so sarahcook62 that's a different issue to yours but that won't stop the order I placed today from fixing that for you.
@TwitDotTV I can see that you do fall into the category mentioned on problem 74168 so I'll add your details to that.

Re: This is getting ridiculous

I just did the test and now it shows 58Mb max.
Still not anywhere near the estimated.

Re: This is getting ridiculous

Hi,
My Unlimited Fibre is due to go live next Wed/Thurs and when I spoke to a PlusNet CSR in advance of ordering, he said that checks showed I could get 76Mbps down. However the confirmation email says that I will be on 40Mbps.
I suspect that the wrong product has been ordered like others referenced in this thread. Could you check please so that any error can be rectified before the service is activated?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: This is getting ridiculous

If your order is in progress, we can't change it without cancelling the install.  However, we will place an order to change it to 80/20 on the day it activates.  That should change the next day. Is that ok?

Re: This is getting ridiculous

For those of us having our package changed post install, will we need to do anything like power cycle the BT modem on the day of the change? Or is it all automated?

Re: This is getting ridiculous

Looks like the switch-over happened for me around 00:45hrs this morning as I was browsing the net and nothing loaded for about a minute. Ran a speed test a bit earlier and things are looking very healthy...

Double the 36/8 I was getting the same time yesterday.
Thanks to Plusnet for a quick turnaround on this issue Smiley

Re: This is getting ridiculous

Hi Adam / Kelly, I was wondering if you can help. I've had my fibre broadband installed today and although the speedtests I did showed I should expect 67Mb down and 20Mb up, I'm only getting 37Mb down and 8.5Mb up. I'm pretty sure I've been assigned the 40/10 broadband rather than 80/20. I'm only 100 yards or so from the cabinet and can see it from my house so it shouldn't be this slow. Could you have a look please?
Many thanks
Richard

Re: This is getting ridiculous

I just got an email saying theres no fault on my line.
Im still on the wrong profile though. When I check it still says my line speed is 40Mb.
Speed tests show just over 40Mb.
I called Saturday and still nothing.  Angry

Re: This is getting ridiculous

You are probably both affected by this problem.  You should be 80/20 tomorrow, or very soon at least.

Forum usernames are linked to Plusnet account names which staff can cross reference, so no need to supply that information.
