Theoretical Max Speed for ADSL2+ on Plus.Net

Hi
I live very close to my exchange and enjoy speeds up to 19MB, so you would think I would be content... but I'm curious so I thought I might as well ask the question.
What's the theoretical maximum speed for PlusNet's ADSL2+ product? I thought ADSL2+ went up to 24mbs, is this the case? and if so do PlusNet Cap at 20MB?
Thanks
Matt

Re: Theoretical Max Speed for ADSL2+ on Plus.Net

The BT WBC SIN pdf (472) gives the maximum sync speed as 24384 kbit/s - the maximum throughput speed speed you'll see in a speedtest will be limited by the Plusnet profile being 88.2% of the sync speed (probably rounded down slightly).

Correction: It's the BT IP Profile which is 88.2% - Plusnet just take a copy of it

Re: Theoretical Max Speed for ADSL2+ on Plus.Net

In my experience, the BT IP profile doesn't enforce any speed limit, but the Plusnet profile does.
