Great news - now to check and knowing my luck - all my emails will have been correctly identified.  Grin

Actually (whisper this) it's a week or three since I had anything identified incorrectly.

Re: The "Spam" / "Not Spam" buttons are here!

Thanks for the incident report, and thanks especially for the spam/notspam buttons.
Here's a suggestion about reporting. The incident report said, "The trial proved successful, with about 97% of all email Gatekeeper handles being correctly identified as spam, making this significantly more effective than any of our other anti-spam measures."
Now I know little about this, but I could guarantee to reject 100% of all spam (by rejecting all email) or to reject no genuine messages (by accepting all email). The hard trick is to get a high rate of spam rejection with minimal loss of genuine messages.
Performance statistics are meaningless unless we know two things (1) the percentage of spam rejected and (2) the percentage of genuine email retained.

It seems to be working for me Grin I had been keeping a whole list of stuff in a webmail folder rather than forwarding it by hand. There was a limit to how much time I wanted to spend.
I went in just now, selected all 267 items and hit the button. It took its time but it did eventually come back and say that it had done it.

Erm,
Why, when I click the SPAM button, does it not move the item concerned to my SPAM folder, as well as reporting it as SPAM?
As it stands, I have to delete it manually afterwards.
Cheers,
Martin.

Could you also promote the wonderful little app "FastForward" that "webwise" made for the same purpose, but for use on your pc with Outlook Express and other email clients.
It works well, it looks great and he did a lot of work on it.

That's a good idea.  I dont think it was a requirement of the original work.

Promoted at the foot of the blog post here.
At the moment there's no plans to install this plug-in on Metronet SquirrelMail although theoretically I suppose they too could use the despamchecker forwarding addresses. Will check up on this.
