The bad boy gateways back or changes to traffic priorites?

For about a week now I've noticed an in general sluggishness with web browsing to USA and online PC games during peek times, again hosted in USA [ Lord of the Rings and Anarchy Online.  Tracing to host servers and wireshark captures show all is fine, but one thing I noticed that the games now go through as Titanium and not the previous Gold when I didn't have any issues.
As a tangent, I remembered the bad old days of unlimited and all unlimited accounts had there own gateways to not clog up others.  So seeing as I am on Extra makes me wonder if that has been started again with the increase in traffic expected for the Olympics.
Can't find a reason for the sluggishness so makes me wonder

Gus,
Whilst I don't know the answer to your problem, Titanium is prioritised higher than Gold so in theory, it should be even better!

I don't recall anything about unlimited accounts having their own gateways. Regarding routing, the pcl gateways tend to send things via Level3 and the others go via something BT related.

Hi Gus,
is it just US destinations? Can you provide us with the traceroutes?

Re: The bad boy gateways back or changes to traffic priorites?

I did some testing last night via gateway hopping so you will see a lot of PPP drops from 6.30pm onwards.  During the testing on a few gateways I still had the latency in game that didn't match the actual in game ping.  Also after a lot of hoping I could not get on any of the gateways I have previous been able to use, hence the query about Extra users being moved onto our own gateways.
each gateway I tried:

No, we don't do that. All customers will connect across all gateways.
As for the lag, can you attach a wireshark to a ticket (probably need to zip it) and let us know how far into it you start seeing the issue.
