Terrible connection

Tonight my connection is horrendous.
0.22 Mbps down, 0.05 up and 80 ms ping is not quite the 20 meg I should be getting
Can someone have a look at it and sort
Thanks
Terry

Re: Terrible connection

Hi TerryCTR,
Sorry to see you are having problems with your speed.
I've just run a check on your line and it's showing you should be getting around 21Mbps and that there are no problems on the line.
Are you getting these slow speeds on a wired or wireless connection?
If you are on a wireless connection could you try a speed test on a wired connection please.

Or you might just be suffering from this, along with many other customers:

Re: Terrible connection

Over the weekend it kept going back to normal then running poorly so its not a wireless issue.......its the line
I should mention that it was tested on a wired line from the master socket incase you say it could be the wireless

Re: Terrible connection

The times you have posted appear to be during peak times.
Do you still experience problems during the day too?

Re: Terrible connection

I couldn't tell you, I'm at work during the week and come the weekend I take it that it would be closer to peak?
It's running ok right now

I am also connected to a ptn-ag03 line so it's not the issue linked above

Re: Terrible connection

Apparently I pay so that won't happen  Roll_eyes
I just saw the reply on my ticket saying I will be charged if an engineer is called out. Each time there is a problem, that's the reply I get and each time so far it's not been the anything to do with internal.
If it comes to it I will just cancel as I'm not gaming anymore anyway and sky broadband is cheaper and will do for surfing the web

Re: Terrible connection

Hi,
The potential £60 charge is only applicable if the fault is found to be caused by anything internal as you have stated. We have to put this across to you before we go ahead with the visit just in case it is an internal issue.
I can see that your fault is in the hands of our Faults Team who have raised the fault to our suppliers for further investigation. If you aren't happy to accept the potential charges then we wouldn't be able to send you out an engineer I'm afraid.
